More about this list

Rapid chess, snabbschack in Swedish, sits between blitz and the long game, with more time on the clock than blitz but far less than a long game. Järfälla SS plays a rapid grand prix on Monday evenings, Wasa SK has run a combined rapid and blitz series, Solna-Sundbyberg SS has held a rapid tournament on a training evening, and Seniorschack Stockholm has reported a rapid result for September 2026. Kungstornet, Farsta SK and JSCA SK list rapid among the forms they play.

Among the events, Svarta Hästen near Stureplan has organised Damsnabben, a rapid for women, the Compo Cup weekend at the Schacksalongerna has been rated for rapid as well as standard chess, and the company championship Företagsmästerskapet i schack is a rapid event for teams from workplaces. Dates are on each card, worded as the organiser's page gives them.
